Conocida como ananá, es una planta de la familia de las bromeliáceas, originaria de Sur América, que aparte de ser deliciosa, ofrece innumerables beneficios para la salud.

 

Es una fruta diurética y depurativa, que favorece la eliminación de toxinas que acumula nuestro cuerpo; previene el estreñimiento debido a la gran cantidad de fibra que aporta. Activa el metabolismo y facilita la eliminación de grasa. Es rica en antioxidantes que protegen el cuerpo de radicales libres, y una excelente fuente de vitamina C, yodo, magnesio, fósforo y calcio. La vitamina C es el antioxidante soluble en agua más importante que protege el cuerpo de agresiones de microorganismos malignos y ayuda en el aprovechamiento del hierro y el calcio. Reduce el riesgo de hipertensión, ya que una taza de piña contiene alrededor de 1 mg de sodio y 195 mg de potasio. Ayuda a perder peso debido a que su sabor natural, reduce el deseo de consumir dulces y al comerla no se ingieren tantas calorías. Es ideal para mantener una buena salud ocular, por ser rica en antioxidantes. Combate la placa bacteriana y enfermedades de las encías, ayuda a mantener los dientes sanos. Fortalece el sistema inmune y su contenido de bromelia, hace de esta fruta un anticoagulante natural. También parece actuar de manera benéfica en los glóbulos blancos.

Belleza

La piña es útil en la eliminación de células muertas e ideal para exfoliar la piel del rostro, manteniéndolo hermoso, debido a que tiene enzimas que le proporcionan elasticidad, hidratación y un aspecto radiante. Además favorece la disminución de manchas y líneas de expresión. Para lograr este efecto, limpie bien la cara como acostumbra. Luego, tome pulpa de piña y aplique frotando la piel de la cara y cuello, excepto el contorno de ojos. Deje que actúe por 15 a 20 minutos. Repita el procedimiento 2 veces por semana. Si es constante, tendrá una piel sin arrugas por años.

Tiempo de preparación 5 min.

 

Ingredientes
2 tazas de hielo
1 taza de jugo de piña
1 taza de ron blanco (si lo desea)
1⁄2 taza de crema de coco
4 trozos de piña (para decorar)
4 cerezas (para decorar)

 

Preparación
Vierta en la licuadora el hielo, el ron, el jugo de piña y la crema de coco. Mezcle por aproximadamente 30 segundos, hasta triturar el hielo, mientras se combinan los ingredientes y la bebida adquiere una consistencia suave. Luego coloque en los vasos y decore con una rodaja de piña y cerezas. Disfrútelo.
