El Instituto para la Investigación Educativa y el Desarrollo Pedagógico (IDEP), se ha convertido en un referente de proyectos que presentan los maestros, orientados a disminuir el impacto del cambio climático.
 

La esencia del trabajo que realiza el instituto se centra en la capacidad que tienen los maestros de gestionar sus proyectos. “Esa preocupación que está en nuestro plan de desarrollo, reconocido a nivel nacional e internacional, tiene un correlato muy interesante en los colegios: la preocupación en relación con los temas ambientales y la capacidad que tienen los colegios para transformar la realidad desde sus prácticas más esenciales, como por ejemplo: cómo racionalizar el uso del agua, o cómo crear conciencia en las familias, con el fin de que se apropien de los problemas ambientales, que no siempre se deben mirar desde arriba, sino desde la cotidianidad”, comentó Nancy Martínez, directora del IDEP.

 
Según la funcionaria, al momento de convocar a los maestros para que presenten sus iniciativas sobre cambio climático, el balance ha sido positivo, ya que los proyectos se encontraban muy bien documentados, con una alta capacidad de reflexión académica, pero también desde la práctica y la formación que se asocia a la sistematización de experiencias en especial sobre el tema ambiental.

 
“Para el IDEP, dignificar al maestro, no solo, pasa por una serie de exigencias que hacen que cumpla con su labor a cabalidad, en función del compromiso con la escuela y los niños”.
 
También se requiere brindarle condiciones para el ejercicio de la docencia. Muchos de los maestros que hacen propuestas de investigación y de trabajo con los niños, no tienen la posibilidad de anclar esas propuestas, pues existen proyectos institucionales muy rígidos, que incluso, la misma Secretaría de Educación presenta en las prácticas de los colegios, comentó.
 

Lo que estamos diciendo es que esas iniciativas de jóvenes, apoyadas por maestros, más allá de su horario laboral, tienen un gran valor que debe ser reconocido desde prácticas como las que realiza el IDEP, instituto que promueve que todas estas acciones y proyectos de investigación e innovación se sistematicen, para que el maestro se reconozca en eso que comparte con otros.

 
Por otra parte, es mucho el apoyo que pueden brindar la academia, las facultades de educación, las escuelas que forman maestros, para que esto se convierta en un acto transformador de realidades de su espacio y desde lo que se hace en el aula, agregó.

 
Así mismo, comentó que Bogotá es un ejemplo en materia de política pública en educación para el país, en temas como la jornada ampliada, que implica más tiempo para educar, en todo sentido.

 
Aseguró que la inversión en educación es clave e incluye mejores condiciones para la docencia, ya que maestros comprometidos y dignificados transforman esas realidades de la escuela.

 
“Cuando el IDEP realiza convocatorias para que los maestros presenten proyectos e iniciativas de experiencias que les parecen significativas, se está reconociendo la capacidad de transformar su espacio en todo sentido, y con el apoyo de los gobiernos, los maestros están en la disposición de aportar desde el aula”.

 
La Secretaría de Educación viene trabajando en un proyecto denominado ‘Incitar’ el cual busca que esas iniciativas que fluyen de una experiencia de un maestro con sus estudiantes en relación con el medio ambiente, sean llamativas y ejemplo para las demás. La directora del IDEP aseveró que eventos como RIO+20 aportan de manera significativa a la comprensión de temas ambientales, que los docentes deben tener presentes para trabajar con los estudiantes.
